229 - Helping Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre introduce red light therapy - November 2025

We are pleased to be back with news of donation 229.

With our latest donation we have sent £500 the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (South Yorkshire) Ltd , a charity that provides support and therapies for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis and other chronic or life-defining conditions.

Services and facilities include:

  • Oxygen therapy: The centre has the only oxygen chamber in South Yorkshire. This therapy involves breathing pure oxygen to strengthen the body's ability to self-heal.

  • Physical therapy: Offerings include physiotherapy, osteopathy, and an exercise area with specialized equipment.

  • Complementary therapies: This includes massages, acupuncture, aromatherapy, and hypnotherapy.

  • Mental and emotional support: The centre provides specialized counselling, mindfulness practice, and a friendly, supportive social area for members.

  • Equipment: Facilities include a Thera-TRAINER for mobility and an iMRS mat with a sound and relaxation system.

  • Community: The centre aims to provide a safe, positive, supportive community environment for its members.

As our member who sent this nomination in to us explained, to use the therapies, you must first become a member, which is quick and affordable. The centre accepts membership for people over 18 with any life-defining condition. The membership is only £35 per year and enables service users to be able to access as many treatments and therapies at a very affordable price.

The centre is highly valued not only for its treatments but also for the crucial emotional support it extends. It clearly makes a significant difference in helping people manage MS and other life-defining chronic conditions.

The centre is currently looking at expanding the range of therapies they can offer their members, including introducing red light therapy

This is an exciting development for them as it has the potential to provide huge additional benefits for people living with MS and other chronic conditions.

Our donation is going to be put directly towards establishing this new therapy, which includes helping with the purchase of equipment and the setup required to make it available to chronically ill members.

We know how hard it is for charities like this to find funding in the current climate, so we were pleased to have been able to contribute to this cause that is important to one of our members.
