We have given our 62nd donation of £500 to Darnall Wellbeing (DWB), who have used it to help 3 Slovak Roma families who have settled in Sheffield and live in Darnall. DWB have supported these families with their EU Settlement Scheme applications and continue to work with them to help them build new homes and improve the quality of living for themselves and their children. 61 - Financial support for Bulgarian family to renew passports October 2021

Donation 61 allows your £500 to help V  pay for the renewal of her son's passport, together with the documents and travel costs associated with the renewal.  V is a Bulgarian single parent of a severely Autistic son G, who is six years old. She needs to sort that and then make the journey back again. The Embassy also told her that she needs to pay approx £250 for their papers to be translated into Bulgarian before they send it off. V was devastated at the thought of having to somehow find the money for this, plus the coach journey and the stress this would ca

We were asked to support this local charity by a member who told us about personally witnessing this horrendous behaviour from a close relative's former partner and father of their now 5 year old son. They told us how the man abandoned them shortly after the son was born but insisted on regular visits, which the mother did not object to, and poisoned the son's young mind against his family. The man also repeatedly took the mother to court over access that he wasn't denied in the first place, causing enormous stress and financial expense, as well as regular abusive phone calls and text messages over the years. Our member told us that their relative has been receiving support from Mums In Need and asked for them to be considered as a recipient. We spoke to Mums in Need to ask how our £500 might help. They explained tha
