64 - Buying tv and licence for resettling Afghan family - Dec 2021

With this donation of £500 we are helping a family (mum, dad and small child) who have come to Sheffield via the Afghan government resettlement scheme.  The father is currently waiting for Universal Credit and residency so that he may apply for jobs here.
The mum rarely leaves the house, due to language, cultural and confidence barriers and the family are cut off from the world.  The charity that is working with them have said that a TV and TV licence would help their home life become more comfortable and link them to the outside world.  It will also be a big help as they learn English, which they are really keen to do.  Any money left over they will put towards their internet costs.
500 together are very happy to help them with this and wish them all the best in their new life in the UK.
